After the feedback of my audience on my last 3 drafts I finally included a photograph that I had taken on the day of filming and included this image in the trailer as it was effective.

| This is the poster I gained inspiration from, altough simple I still am caught in being interested in it, especially the way the silhoette has been manipulated. This really connotes the genre of the film as well, with the fragments suggesting a broken emotion and the actors names are placed above the top of the scream. The background also has some interesting patterns to it which I think is interesting. |

The photograph is of the protagonist and is actually a scene included in my trailer, that is one of the ways that I wanted to include a link between my trailer and texts. This scene is repeated twice in my trailer, therefore holds some significance. A high angle close shot which normally significant in drama genre theme films, to make the character central and identify emotion, I wanted to reflect the 'Head in the clouds idea in my film.
I used Serif PhotoPlus X7 to blacken the character against the cloudy background. This would enable her to stand out and still include enigma as audiences are still wondering who she may be. The blacked image came from the Precious poster, in which the main character has been made a silhouette of and has fragments going through to connote the damage and brokenness left in her. The drama film gave me an idea to silhouette my image and make my character hidden against the text,l background and clouds to connote her lost mind. I still stuck to my colour scheme as I changed most of the text white and to infer some interest I put my text in the silhouette of the poster. Black and white also compliment each other so I thought this was an interesting idea.
I added the artificial clouds still, but after some thought I'm thinking to remove some as too much
is going on in the poster, I need a sole focus. The June 2016 is smaller as I felt it took up a lot of the poster and attention. I still need to work on my com positioning and I am yet to work on the poster a lot more. I also have moved the actors names to the top of the poster to fill the space and this is conventional in posters, I still need to find a place for my tagline as well. |
