Magazine Poster Drafts

Before creating my magazine covers I looked at different Like the poster I created this image in Serif Draw Plus and stuck to conventional magazine cover features such as a large masthead, cover lines and even a barcode. I noticed that famous magazine covers such as total film and empire mostly use RED as their main magazine cover scheme.
After being used to software such as Adobe Photoshop, I was quite happy for the effort I had made while using Serif Draw Plus I became happy with the result, I ended up sticking with this program to make my magazine front cover. I started by creating a document in A4 and used the whole of the page to design a successful magazine. Notice I had change the colour scheme to blue white and black to adhere to the link b between my trailer and other ancillary text. For the photograph I used a filter in SerifPhotoPlus which added an aging effect to promote the idea of desolation and sadness which is a central theme in my drama genre film.
For my photograph, I wanted my character to look drained and broken, which present a central theme of sadness across my 3 texts. I made her look intently into the camera so that readers would automatically feel a sense of sympathy for her as she looks bare and  emotional.
